thin lear is the project of nj songwriter matt longo, and if you're into late-night songs with weight: dark waltzes, spectral production, lyrics about the slow drift of things you couldn't hold onto.. this is for you. his latest ep, a shadow waltzed itself, came out this spring after an 11-date east coast run. popmatters called his writing a showcase for immense songwriting abilities. ali lou, delaney west, and yarms open.

little liar is a buffalo hard rock four-piece with a heavy classic rock backbone; influences running from soundgarden to ac/dc to alice in chains and stage presence that reads well in an intimate venue. seraphine's cleaver, tight schedule, and the turbulents fill out the bill.

mat 23 — sam silbert
sam silbert is a philadelphia songwriter working in a leonard cohen-ish chamber-folk vein with layered arrangements, thoughtful songwriting built around semi-fictionalized characters navigating heartbreak and loss. his debut album down on silverlake laid the groundwork; he's been performing and releasing live recordings steadily since. local legends kitchen (bedroom pop) and attic abasement (indie) open.

cavalcade has been rochester's standard-bearer for a certain kind of earnest, big-beat rock for over a decade. Music that actually cares about the history of the song form while dismantling it from the inside out. fat morning and aaron deruyter (psychedelic rock) round out the bill. a strong local night.

annabel is a midwest emo institution from akron, ohio. Hook-driven songs with a warmth and honesty that's kept them relevant across multiple scenes and a nine-year gap between records. worldviews (2024) was worth the wait. deadpets, comfy, and sadbod open.
