blowgun is the new orleans-based project of miriam hacksaw — queer mixed malayali-american fiddler, banjoist, and former d-beat punk who dove deep into old-time traditional music and came out the other side with something harder to name. alongside her sibling rye oommen on pandeiro, the band pulls from old-time americana, brazilian rhythm traditions, and the energy of a punk show. it's raw, it's rooted, and it moves. heart throb string band brings the blended folk. ft. twin sister + zora!zora!zora!
